Lila and her mom, Dana, are barely managing to make ends meet. Their living conditions are less than ideal and now that it’s winter, the cold is a bitter reminder of their inability to pay the electric bill.

Amid their struggles, Lila begins to have strange dreams. At first, she dismisses them. Her worries about her mom’s rapidly declining health are overriding her curiosity about the unusual visions.

Vivid and more frequent experiences soon clue Lila into the reality that these are not just dreams. When she mentions this to her mom it’s clear that Dana knows more than she’s letting on.

Who is the mysterious creature that keeps appearing in her visions? How will Lila discover the truth? And more importantly, can it save Dana’s life?
